The ATHENA Awards is an annual event organized by the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce to celebrate and spotlight female leaders in the Valley. Having worked on the event materials the past two years, I focused on a fresh layout for the program, using the hexagon as a connecting visual throughout both the program and social promotion. The textures, images chosen and up-beat dynamic layout were used to convey how inspiring the event is to attend. The logo for the event was also updated from the previous years. I incorporated the illustrated figure from the nationally branded ATHENA organization along with a strong display font and a rounded more feminine sans serif, representing the bold women making a difference in their communities.
